This was a cooperation project between UTS and Glarce eyewear, developing potential functions that can be installed in sunglasses. We wear sunglasses to reduce the glare from the sun, but we can also utilize the sunshine to improve our lifestyle. At the moment, the portable charger was a popular gadget, and by research, I found that solar panels can be translucent and thin. As a designer, it’s important to alter an unwanted thing into a boon in order to work for us.
